why does the water from the squeeges at gas stations always smell like feces?

My car smells like poop everytime I use those darn things, what gives is there a chemical that goes bad? Is it meant to smell like that or do homeless people seriously deficate into the water?
try eating it to find out.
i have pooped in that water a few time myself.
That is the smell of stagnant water, it always smells like that, more than likely the clerks are being lazy and havent changed the water.
mostly because it is full of bacteria like feces and the rotting carcases of the bugs from peoples windows.

My wife says that it’s because it’s full of dead bugs and that rotting bugs and hot water are not a good combination. Therefore, it SMELLS BAD!

It could partially be because people use it to get bird crap off their windows. And, with how busy gas stations are, it is hard to say how often they empty it out and put fresh chemicals in. Other than that, I have no ideas.
Lots of old dead bugs rotting in the water.
stagnant water. if you take a glass of water and put it in the garage for a week, it will smell pretty bad also.
