Why do some people have such short memories from just eight years ago?

All this stuff that they are accusing, “taking away our freedoms” “blah blah blah” happened to this country just in the last eight years! Under the dictator Bush. And speaking of the “Constitution” he damned it. Basically saying that, that old ancient “piece of paper” wasn’t going to stop him from doing a darn thing! And he meant that to. That’s one thing that he kept his word on.
We’ve have not forgotten, it’s just that the current administration has taken it to an even more extreme level. The current administration has done nothing to reverse any of those “taking away our freedoms” policies from the previous administration and, in fact, has reaffirmed and strengthened some. They have done more for the ‘freedoms’ of alleged terrorists than the average citizen.
The current administration has proposed even more restricting programs and policies.
One example, the proposed health care bill will penalize you with a 2.5% tax if you exercise your freedom to not purchase insurance (HR 3200, Title IV, sec. 401). It will penalize employers with an 8% payroll tax for not offering insurance to employees (HR 3200, Title III and Title IV).

Bush-worshiping lunatics can’t accept that he was replaced by a black man, so they lash out against him mercilessly.

I’d say people are talking about “taking away our freedoms” under Obama because now they have a chance to stop it. Hopefully they were accusing Bush too, trying to stop him from “taking away our freedoms”.

Bush was pretty bad about that, but that doesn’t change the fact Obama is still doing it too. To tell the truth though I don’t think too many politicians have really cared about the Constitution ever since FDR was president, it’s just that some (Bush 2 and Obama for instance) have disregarded it more than others.
I love how almost all the liberal responses are “Conservatives are just mad cause Obama’s black.”
No. We’re mad cause Obama cannot run a country without passing a $787 Billion stimulus package that effectively does nothing.
Oh, and I think he’ll for sure pass whatever debts Bush ran up by far, if he hasn’t already.
