Why cant people just mind their own darn business?

Ok, so I answered a question for a guy who is learning to speak English. He seemed intelligent, and so I corrected a few mistakes he had. As a person who is becoming fluent in a foreign language myself, I appreciate everytime someone corrects me.

And, some woman, who shall remain nameless, got her panties in a twist because I answered HIS question [not hers] with a different answer than she thought I should.

So, she emailed me in a very ignorant way. I told her to mind her own business.

I mean seriously… if I had answered her question, she had every right to email me.

Some people just cannot keep their nosy little noses out of other people’s business.
Being a Christian, I swear on all things Holy that this is true… lol

And Gocheffs, I told her to buzz off… altho I was a little more harsh. She judged me as being young because I told her to mind her own business.

HA! Im certain my IQ is double hers… lol

Typical intolerance of closed – minded people – tell her to go back to her scrabble game with one of her 40 cats.

I completely agree. I’m becoming fluent in another language too and I’d love it if someone corrected me like that! It’s up to that guy whether he thought your correction was offensive, and considering he was asking for help/corrections, I doubt if he thinks that at all.

some people are ageist and think young people are dumb. little do they realise young people know more things in certain areas of life than the older generations. for example young people now days live in a more diverse culture and know more about culture, young people know about technology far more than most of the older generation, younger people have ‘new’ growing issues that some older people don’t know about so judge young people by saying we have it easier than they did (do we really with gun crime, more suicide, terroists and new ways of bullying e.g. cyber bullying, happy-slapping etc)
so yes it was none of her business and she obviously judged you without realising that you was trying to help

some people just can’t help them selves …its a sad world when their only job they can do is stick their noses into other peoples business and with the wrong advice to boot as well !

Oh if only everyone would just mind their own business. This would be such a much nicer world we live in. But that will never happen.

    I have no idea.

It’s human nature to be nosy and curious, that is why it’s difficult for people to mind their own business and even more difficult to do so on the World Wide Web, where we are mostly anonymous and can push our nosey little noses wherever we wish with as little repercussion as possible.
