What this sentence gives the meaning of.
Whom should I can write and cannot in the work environment.

i think “darn” in this case implies amazement, not dismay, like in “well,i’ll be darned”
“Darn, thanks for your help” is somewhat dependent upon context. Taken at face value it appears to be an expression of mild frustration that something didn’t work out but another individual’s input is appreciated nonetheless. In general this is fairly informal but doesn’t breach any major ettiquite rules in the workplace. I’d say the sentence in question is safe for anyone below the level of Director.
Did someone say that to you? It’s hard to tell what was implied with that taken out of context.
In general, to safely say something like that you better
a) Know the person on a personal level AND not be in too much of a professional atmosphere or
b) Have a thick southern accent.

You can use this phrase in any situation, for example if you ask a question and a person answers you question but goes off into a whole new world or if some one say gee think, then you can say it
