Darn it, what does this mean for WWE…………..?

I was really starting to like the Tag team champions of Edge and Jericho, and they both had a good thing going for them and they were interesting instead of same old “hogging the World championship crazy” Edge, and “Boring slow talking, same thing week in week out” Jericho, and it really was about to help the tag team division.

But it seems that Edge tore an achilles tendon when he and Jericho faced CM Punk and Jeff Hardy on Friday, and will be out for 10-14 weeks.

What does this mean for Jericho, Edge, and the Tag Team Championships come night of champions?

I think Jericho should try to find a new partner and stay in tag team or Intercontinental level, Edge should return in 2010 as a face, and the Tag team championships should go to the Hardyz somehow, to make a (disfuctional at first, but in the end one could do a face/heel turn) great tag team

Wow Edge and Y2J are tag team partners? thats cool! but to answer your question i dont know, i havent watched wrestling in like 6 years….. anyway……. um…. i agree with you!

yeah, theres no one really to replace edge and jericho in that match at night of champions seeing that the colons split up this raw coming.

Maybe the hart dynasty could get it or bring a new tag team up.

I think Jericho should be put in the WHC picture. they dont have much of a face vs heel thing going on with hardy and cm punk

they should form a team like evolution or legacy

it should be the canadians with JERICHO,EDGE and CHRISTIAN

    now that, that’s cool

actually, he tore it at the house show i was at on friday
    (the smackdown match you watched was filmed on tuesday);
it was just a simple match against jeff hardy,
that didn’t even really start. poor edge, he even apologized. :/

and they’ll probably take it away from jericho
and temporarily give it back to the colons,
although i’d much rather have legacy still together for a while
    and give it to priceless.

I am afraid it is much more serious than that according to what I have CM Punk is world champion so i don’t know if he will be able to fill in for Edge
I think they will probably have Jericho forfeit the tag titles and then there will be an interpromotional tournament more than likely at Night of Champions

haha, I’ve been feeling the same way about jerico and edge together. It’s all right. I also have a feeling matt hardy might have a change of heart. He’s been dropping hints on his twitter, but I’m not so sure, but I have a feeling :)

To be perfectly honest, WWE doesn’t really care about the tag team division anymore, so they’ll probably throw a tournament together to give the titles either back to the Colons or to a thrown together tag team like they’ve done so many times before.

WWE needs to build up another Tag Team Division. We need more Stables. I Think WWE can use the superstars that are not in the World titile picture. As for Edge, I hope his injury isn’t that serious. He always has interesting storylines & promos.

If the Unified Tag Titles were to change hands, then Legacy would be a good team to have a run with them. Because Legacy just formed not too long ago, their only just beginning to dominate as a faction. With the Titles, it would really strengthen thier team.

  9. nothingtoseehere says:

Jack Swagger should be Jericho’s new partner and ‘protege. His ‘trade’ to Raw wasn’t going to result into an immediate spot in the main event picture. So WWE might as well give him some rub working with a solid main-event talent and the unified tag belts.

That’s a shame. I would have liked to see Edge & Matt Hardy vs Christian & Jeff Hardy.
What would have been great is if Edge and Jericho both turned face. Jericho was a great face – funny as hell, always having a good time. Edge has spent too much time as a heel. He’s done pretty much all there is to do as a heel (in fact he’s done everything except win the royal Rumble) and being a face champ would have opened a lot of doors for the writers because god knows they are struggling at the moment OK. Rant over.
